Chopped again!

I know most people have a story about their children cutting each others hair.  Well our first one was the night before Kallie started Kindergarten she chopped Brin's hair trying to make her pretty.  I franticly called Melissa to fix it and it ended up so cute I loved it.  However I am big on the long hair to be able to pull it out of their face practically everyday, so we have worked really hard on just trimming her hair and growing it out.  3 times now this year Brindley has cut a little bit off the front of her hair.  Who knows where she is finding these scissors I have about a dozen pairs up on top of the fridge and still still finds weapons of destruction. So once again on Thursday she chopped about 4 inches (a good chunk) off the front of her hair.  Honestly it doesn't look bad, it kind of looks like layers so my question is do we cut it back into a bob or leave it as layers?  We can't decide what do you think?Take our poll to the right and help us decide!  Here is a picture of Brindley 30 seconds ago with her new layered look and the other picture is of her cute bob from the first incident almost 2 years ago.  HELP!!  My only fear of cutting it short would be that she would cut more off and then we would be in BIG trouble. 

Our busy busy week in review....

Thursday we had the typical school followed by Vision Therapy for Brin, and that night Lance's parents arrived from Denver for Lances Graduation.  Friday was spent running errands a little shopping and preparing food for the graduation party!  Saturday we were up and out the door at the CRACK of dawn.  It's hard enough to get myself dragged out of bed but to get three little girls to cooperate and get hair done etc is exhausting.  Luckily Busia was here to help.  We were at the stadium by 8:15...how early was that you ask?  Well we were the FIRST row yep the VERY first row.  However for a 2 hor wait, and the 2 hour ceremony the girls did GREAT I was very happy.  Thank goodness for Ashley running the girls to the bathroom over and over AND over again and for Ipods!  After the graduation ceremony we took some quick pictures....grabbed lunch and ran home to change clothes.  20 minutes later we were off to my parents for the party.  WHAT FUN it was great to see everyone, thanks for coming!  Sunday....8:00 church, YEIKS.....nothing more to be said!  Monday I took advantage of everyone being home and after I dropped the girls off at school went walking with the crew for a while and then went for a little jog by myself.  I felt so out of my element without a stroller, I have to admit it was odd.  Then that afternoon we decided to take Grandpa to Whataburger (his very favorite place to eat) when we get a call from the school nurse, "you need to come get Kallie I believe she may need x-ray of her leg she may have broken it."  WHAT......so back home we go and on Lance's day off he spent a good part of his day at the doctors and getting Kallie's leg X-rayed.  NO BREAK after all she just hit her shin bone REALLY hard on the play structure stairs.  WHEW!  Tuesday was Veteran's Day so the girls had no school we took advantage and went to see a movie.  Wednesday we put in every appointment imaginable.  Kallie got two bottom teeth pulled at the dentist, Brin's weekly OT, Lance's chiropractic, Grandpa's massage/reflexology app. and in between those we fit in Desert Book and Trader Jo's.  Makes me tired just thinking about it.  Then Thursday again, we took Busia & Grandpa back to the airport, drove to North Scottsdale to take Lance some items he forgot for his weekend camping and fishing with his buddies.  We then drove back to Gilbert for Brindley's weekly Vision Therapy class.  So what did I do today NOT MUCH, the girls had a donuts for Dad's breakfast at the school.  Grandpa Lewis filled in as the serrate "Father" since Lance is out of town.  Brylin and I then walked the 5 mile loop with the crew, I paid bills and messed around on the internet.   I am looking forward to getting a little extra sleep in the morning and watching Kallie in her last soccer game of the season.  Hopefully Lance will get home at a good hour tomorrow night.

Wow has it really been 10 years already!  This is my favorite wedding picture, one of those candid moments. I am very lucky to be married to my best friend and such a wonderful man.

General Conference Activity Book

Well like I said when I started this I am not the die-hard blogger so I defiantly made up for lost time. Here are some highlights from September.

Kallie started soccer! She is thrilled to be the main goalie and does really good. She is always so upbeat and could care less if she is in or out of the game. Lance loves soccer, so the girls have been told since they were little that they would play soccer some day. Now that it is a reality she is just tickled to be involved and such a great sport. We just had our first quarter conferences with her teacher and she doing great but still has a tendency to talk and socialize in class. I don’t think that will ever change.An update on our little Brindley all her genetic testing is done for good. All tests have come back normal so we are not going to explore that any further. YEA!! She is still loving her Occupational Therapy and does such cool stuff. Her sisters are jealous she gets to play with things like monster goo (cool putty that goes from a solid clay to almost a water consistency) and making fun necklaces. She will soon start Vision Therapy to help with her tracking issues and we are looking into bifocals. This is a picture of a necklace she made me last week. She had to look for all the red beads in a big bowl of hundreds, and then get them onto the string.  That night she had a headache and kept saying her hands were sore, yet she does it with a smile and has a great attitude.  She is doing so so good in Kindergarten! Her teacher reports that she is meeting or exceeding in every subject. She has a new BFF named Abby and has found a love for PE.

Looking back at our month I laugh because you would think we have a house full of boys. One night Lance took the girls on a bug walk. Now it is a daily request, they thought it was so fun. Everywhere we go now they get excited to see crickets and ask if they can pick them up. Then what do we do for our Fall break you ask, Lance takes us to Tuscon to a reptile show. Anyone that has known us since we were first married knows that Lance used to breed snakes and leopard geckos. For me it is nice to be on the other side of these shows and I fully support visiting them and not being so hands on. Their favorite thing about the trip was a petting zoo they had with a tortoise and some alligator/crocodile (that’s how much I know) and a blue tongue monitor (I think that is what it was).  All three of them were the size of Brindley and could have easily eaten Brylin. 

Another fun tidbit, you will notice everyone is dressed in red, this was completely intentional.  If any of you have ever attended a reptile show you would notice that 90% of the people are wearing black or some sort of dark color.  Knowing this valuable information I dressed everyone (including Daddy) in red to be able to spot them easily amongst the crowd.  Just as I had anticipated you could spot them from across the room, they stuck out brilliantly.  Until next time!
