She says the funniest things that just crack me up, the other day she was helping me with dinner and I asked her to grab a spatula and she said "that's not a spatula Mom, (even though she knew exactly what I was talking about) it's called a shovel flip." Can't argue there...you couldn't be more descriptive about it's use.<br /><br />Today she graduated from Kindergarten, I wasn't sure if we would make it through the year but she did great and is onto first grade. CONGRATULATIONS BRINDLEY!<br /></span></span></span><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTEy2V6fwZwXeDdIu-b8nkcd8GzTraccvRJgprhcK2oFA1avYBceGlczzUHkovZ4g6L6wHSzUWpo5hUvwM3txxAmZZ8Cfr2MMWwPCGvXdP960Phx_r3fuYyiGNsCeA2SICGOuNWu6Q1A8/s320/IMG_1287.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5343351713801322834" /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 102, 204);">Oh yea and the cat we got, she turned out to be the sweetest little thing and was such a perfect cat no joke, even Lance agreed. One MAJOR problem...Brylin turned out to be allergic to it. We waited as long as we could thinking it was just a cold but the Doctor confirmed it, so with much hesitation she was given to a new family today. </span></span></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 102, 204);"><br /></span></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 102, 204);">The girls cried all afternoon. I guess stating from the beginning it was just a trial didn't matter once it became a reality we were actually going to have to get rid of her. Here I was just using it for leverage with getting them to cooperate. The girls had named her "Binkie" and among tears Kallie said today, "I'll never hear the word binkie again without thinking about my sweet precious cat that we'll never ever be able to have again because of Brylin's dumb nose. Can't we just tell Brylin she isn't to touch it or breath the allergic stuff or can I just keep her locked in my room forever?" You have to remember she is the dramatic one in the house :-). </span></span></span></div>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-10775683274472754102009-05-19T13:23:00.000-07:002009-05-19T13:55:47.874-07:00What a week!Bare with me for those of you who read my blog. I decided I need to use it more of a journal since I am not good at keeping track of the events in our family. Last week was such a headache I thought I needed to jot it all down. Although it may sound drab and depressing I actually look at it and laugh that it all could be worse. We could be jobless along with a million other things right :-).<br /><br />We started off Monday with Lance heading off to work again for his first day at his new job! YEA!! Although it was way past due I have to admit I had that brief though of "how am I supposed to do all this stuff alone," after all I have gotten used to Lance being home to fill in the gaps of Motherhood. Brylin woke up soon after with pink eye...YUCK! This was the first time we have ever gotten it and hopefully the last. I was so paranoid of everyone else getting it including myself I washed my hands to the point of being raw. Kallie also stayed home on Monday with an annoying cough which I although she didn't seem sick other than that knew she would be sent home by the nurse for distracting the class (which has happened twice this year). A Dr. visit and eye drops to accompany our day.<br /><br />Then Tuesday Kallie woke up complaining of her ear hurting, a doctors appointment confirmed that she had an ear infection. So now she is on antibiotics and home for the next day. She accompanied me to some training for my work while Brylin was at preschool. Call me paranoid but I made her wear a mask. I didn't want to get anyone sick as we all work out of our homes and they were moving that weekend. She did great though and actually thought it was cool. Good thing she is only 7!<br /><br />Wednesday Kallie stayed home again to rest. Thursday everyone was at school. Friday Kallie woke up with the goopie eye, Brin had a follow up doctors appointment in downtown phoenix so lucky me I got to take all three girls with me to battle there just to come back home and take Kallie another doctor's appointment to treat her pink eye. I tried and tried to convince the nurse to just call in drops but luckily they insisted on seeing her because Kallie's cold/cough had turned into Bronchitis! WHAT! So she is now on 2 different antibiotics with breathing treatments. I am tempted not only to do a disinfecting bomb in our house after last week but schedule a standing appointment with the doctors office. It's bad when you walk in the door and they know how your whole week has gone.<br /><br />Brindley finished out the week getting pink eye missing a Hannah Montana birthday party she had been anticipating for 2 months, with one of her soccer buddies. <br /><br />Oh and did I fail to mention we adopted a kitten on Saturday. I don't know what we are thinking but I keep telling the girls IT'S JUST A TRIAL. That way if I get buyers remorse they are forewarned. So far so good our big concern is the dog and his reaction. So far they are afraid of eachother and stear clear of one another. Time will tell.<br /><br />Ho hum one week down it can only get better from here, hopefully :-)The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-33179554979985574892009-05-08T10:18:00.000-07:002009-05-08T10:27:54.489-07:00WORK AT LAST!Although I am grateful for all the side jobs Lance has found while he looked for that "real" job to bring in money, I must say I am so glad that the wait is finally over! Now we can get back to the consistent paycheck and routine and let's not forget those benefits!<br /><br />Lance accepted a job offer this week and starts on Monday. NO moving to Cali after all, at least for now :-) He starts on Monday and it's even closer to us so the drive won't be that bad (Tempe). YEA!!<br /><br />Not only that but I have been working from home and have been asked to help out more with their company. Turns out I actually have some good skills (for all you Napoleon Dynamite fans). We'll see how this stay at home Mom / working at home thing goes but the extra money will be nice. Let's just hope I can learn to juggle things! The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-90233789898654228732009-02-04T12:12:00.001-08:002009-02-04T12:12:54.380-08:00Brylin has been begging me to put a video of "just her" singing on the computer for months now and I have yet to do it. My day started with a phone call at 6:45 from my hubby letting me know that he had gotten that dreaded call from his boss that he was being laid off. We knew it was coming I mean how many layoffs could we survive in the Homebuilding industry....it was only a matter of time. If anyone has any leads for Lance send them our way :-). I am just glad they paid for school!<br /><br />Kallie got two more teeth pulled to make room for the permanent one's that decided to come in before the baby teeth had fallen out. Then we went and ordered new glasses for Brin, bad timing what what do we do tell our 5 year old that can barely see too bad. Besides I am going to make the most of our 2 weeks of benefits! Let's cram in as many appointments as we can I'm up for it! <br /><br />Off to cook and clean, lucky me anyone got any simple dinner ideas??<span style="font-weight:bold;"><span style="font-weight:bold;"></span></span></span>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-5675582072450647812009-01-12T10:46:00.001-08:002009-01-12T10:46:18.353-08:00Saturday Fun!<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" bgcolor="#ffffff"><tr><td><a href="http://smilebox.com/play/4e7a41304d544d334f413d3d0d0a&campaign=blog_playback_link&blogview=true" target="_blank"><img width="386" height="303" alt="Click to play Saturday Fun!" src="http://smilebox.com/snap/4e7a41304d544d334f413d3d0d0a.jpg" style="border: medium none ;"/></a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://www.smilebox.com/?partner=hallmark&campaign=blog_snapshot" target="_blank"><img width="386" height="46" alt="Create your own postcard - Powered by Smilebox" src="http://www.smilebox.com/globalImages/blogInstructions/blogLogoSmileboxSmall.gif" style="border: medium none ;"/></a></td></tr><tr><td align="center"><a href="http://www.smilebox.com/postcards/?partner=hallmark" target="_blank">Make a Smilebox postcard</a></td></tr></table>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-65882410380160689272009-01-12T10:36:00.001-08:002009-01-12T10:36:45.707-08:00<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" bgcolor="#ffffff"><tr><td><a href="http://smilebox.com/play/4e7a41304d5449794e513d3d0d0a&campaign=blog_playback_link&blogview=true" target="_blank"><img width="386" height="303" alt="Click to play Brylin's Thank you!" src="http://smilebox.com/snap/4e7a41304d5449794e513d3d0d0a.jpg" style="border: medium none ;"/></a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://www.smilebox.com/?partner=hallmark&campaign=blog_snapshot" target="_blank"><img width="386" height="46" alt="Create your own greeting - Powered by Smilebox" src="http://www.smilebox.com/globalImages/blogInstructions/blogLogoSmileboxSmall.gif" style="border: medium none ;"/></a></td></tr><tr><td align="center"><a href="http://www.smilebox.com/ecards/?partner=hallmark" target="_blank">Make a Smilebox greeting</a></td></tr></table>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-50065568756118895132009-01-04T21:25:00.000-08:002009-01-04T21:32:38.405-08:00<span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:'Comic Sans MS';font-size:13px;"><div class="MsoNormal"><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=""><span class="Apple-style-span" style=""><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(153, 153, 153);">Our 5 Favorite Things About The Holidays!</span></span></span></span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=""><span class="Apple-style-span" style=""><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(153, 153, 153);"><br /></span></span></span></span></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=""><span class="Apple-style-span" style=""><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(153, 153, 153);">Lance</span></span></span></span></span></div><ol type="1" style="margin-top: 0in; Well our first one was the night before Kallie started Kindergarten she chopped Brin's hair trying to make her pretty. I franticly called Melissa to fix it and it ended up so cute I loved it. However I am big on the long hair to be able to pull it out of their face practically everyday, so we have worked really hard on just trimming her hair and growing it out. </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">3 times </span></span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">now this year Brindley has cut a little bit off the front of her hair. Who knows where she is finding these scissors I have about a dozen pairs up on top of the fridge and still still finds weapons of destruction. So once again on Thursday </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">she chopped about 4 inches</span></span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> (a good chunk) off the front of her hair. Honestly it doesn't look bad, it kind of looks like layers so my question is </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">do we cut it back into a bob or leave it as layers?</span></span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> We can't decide what do you think?</span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 153, 0);"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Take our poll</span></span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> to the right and help us decide! Here is a picture of Brindley 30 seconds ago with her new layered look and the other picture is of her cute bob from the first incident almost 2 years ago. HELP!! My only fear of cutting it short would be that she would cut more off and then we would be in BIG trouble. </span></span><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div><br /></div></div>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-22920051202177721422008-11-14T15:26:00.000-08:002008-11-14T16:38:24.140-08:00<img style="display:block; It's hard enough to get myself dragged out of bed but to get three little girls to cooperate and get hair done etc is exhausting. Luckily Busia was here to help. We were at the stadium by 8:15...how early was that you ask? Well we were the FIRST row yep the VERY first row. However for a 2 hor wait, and the 2 hour ceremony the girls did GREAT I was very happy. Thank goodness for Ashley running the girls to the bathroom over and over AND over again and for Ipods! After the graduation ceremony we took some quick pictures....grabbed lunch and ran home to change clothes. 20 minutes later we were off to my parents for the party. WHAT FUN it was great to see everyone, thanks for coming! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 102, 0);">Sunday</span></span></span>....8:00 church, YEIKS.....nothing more to be said! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 102, 0);"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Monday</span></span></span> I took advantage of everyone being home and after I dropped the girls off at school went walking with the crew for a while and then went for a little jog by myself. I felt so out of my element without a stroller, I have to admit it was odd. Then that afternoon we decided to take Grandpa to Whataburger (his very favorite place to eat) when we get a call from the school nurse, "you need to come get Kallie I believe she may need <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:large;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">x-ray</span></span> of her leg she may have broken it." WHAT......so back home we go and on Lance's day off he spent a good part of his day at the doctors and getting Kallie's leg X-rayed. NO BREAK after all she just hit her shin bone REALLY hard on the play structure stairs. WHEW! <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 102, 0);"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Tuesday</span></span></span> was Veteran's Day so the girls had no school we took advantage and went to see a movie. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 102, 0);"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Wednesday</span></span></span> we put in every appointment imaginable. Kallie got two bottom teeth pulled at the dentist, Brin's weekly OT, Lance's chiropractic, Grandpa's massage/reflexology app. and in between those we fit in Desert Book and Trader Jo's. Makes me tired just thinking about it. Then <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 102, 0);"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">Thursday</span></span></span> again, we took Busia & Grandpa back to the airport, drove to North Scottsdale to take Lance some items he forgot for his weekend camping and fishing with his buddies. We then drove back to Gilbert for Brindley's weekly Vision Therapy class. So what did I do today NOT MUCH, the girls had a donuts for Dad's breakfast at the school. Grandpa Lewis filled in as the serrate "Father" since Lance is out of town. Brylin and I then walked the 5 mile loop with the crew, I paid bills and messed around on the internet. I am looking forward to getting a little extra sleep in the morning and watching Kallie in her last soccer game of the season. Hopefully Lance will get home at a good hour tomorrow night. </span></span></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG_FIl84qA71-6eQTECJh1K7be-7dA0CXCqmm6cJDDSO-jp8tquMHkzLAJCFMBsMxorFp64xLSNJsbDxw-Ks_yTNDsqAYEAEH8WUhLMtqTVPTDpLg1nM0EgwbF7jrNiuO5URDVf1Gf0qY/s1600-h/IMG_0807.JPG"><br /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSIAB6g3vb2fpxpXANW8D8KYVsL1PinVFccOCasMWBAIOpAdmY7Y8B-SPJswNZXd2BD5eKR3uvcWJDyL-4bxoC5UNp6AcVIh9vZMh36yOQD5ggRanWv9JvDN1tTALPhp1htn0CjIppm9E/s1600-h/IMG_0814.JPG"><br /></a><br /></div></div>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-43574521662609619062008-11-01T09:17:00.001-07:002008-11-01T09:17:21.552-07:00<span class="Apple-style-span" style=" white-space: pre-wrap; font-family:'Lucida Grande';font-size:11px;"><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" bgcolor="#ffffff"><tbody><tr><td><a href="http://smilebox.com/play/4e5449304d44417a4d773d3d0d0a&campaign=blog_playback_link&blogview=true" target="_blank"><img width="386" height="303" alt="Click to play Halloween 2008" src="http://smilebox.com/snap/4e5449304d44417a4d773d3d0d0a.jpg" style="border: medium none ;" /></a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://www.smilebox.com/?partner=hallmark&campaign=blog_snapshot" target="_blank"><img width="386" height="46" alt="Create your own scrapbook - Powered by Smilebox" src="http://www.smilebox.com/globalImages/blogInstructions/blogLogoSmileboxSmall.gif" style="border: medium none ;" /></a></td></tr><tr><td align="center"><a href="http://www.smilebox.com/scrapbooks/?partner=hallmark" target="_blank">Make a Smilebox scrapbook</a></td></tr></tbody></table></span>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-60306396560144912612008-10-10T12:52:00.000-07:002008-10-10T13:00:44.045-07:00HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOk_GxkHNYw7hjzdEN1eO-qOEXS0LJe3D9EeHUJTxd5wqPU-Nss8dRLKoGcxbylrbCKx7sTb4gnmUC34II6RRUbMkQ66TNM0ehyiYIQO60rAY-QYTgB1q5_1QWSPSm-OiKrD2NkRrhDnw/s1600-h/Our+Wedding+Day.jpeg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOk_GxkHNYw7hjzdEN1eO-qOEXS0LJe3D9EeHUJTxd5wqPU-Nss8dRLKoGcxbylrbCKx7sTb4gnmUC34II6RRUbMkQ66TNM0ehyiYIQO60rAY-QYTgB1q5_1QWSPSm-OiKrD2NkRrhDnw/s320/Our+Wedding+Day.jpeg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255616127073833922" /></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">Wow has it really been 10 years already! Here are some highlights from September.</span></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);">Kallie</span> started soccer! She is thrilled to be the main <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(102, 51, 102);">goalie</span> and does really good. She is always so upbeat and could care less if she is in or out of the game. Lance loves soccer, so the girls have been told since they were little that they would play soccer some day. Now that it is a reality she is just tickled to be involved and such a <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(102, 51, 102);">great sport</span>. We just had our first quarter conferences with her teacher and she doing great but still has a tendency to talk and socialize in class. One night Lance took the girls on a <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 153, 0);">bug walk</span>. Now it is a daily request, they thought it was so fun. Everywhere we go now they get excited to see crickets and ask if they can pick them up. Then what do we do for our Fall break you ask, Lance takes us to Tuscon to a <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 102, 0);">reptile show</span>. Anyone that has known us since we were first married knows that Lance used to breed snakes and leopard geckos. For me it is nice to be on the other side of these shows and I fully support visiting them and not being so hands on. Their favorite thing about the trip was a petting zoo they had with a tortoise and some alligator/crocodile (that’s how much I know) and a blue tongue monitor (I think that is what it was). All three of them were the size of Brindley and could have easily eaten Brylin. </span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">Another fun tidbit, you will notice everyone is dressed in red, this was completely intentional. If any of you have ever attended a reptile show you would notice that 90% of the people are wearing black or some sort of dark color. Knowing this valuable information I dressed everyone (including Daddy) in red to be able to spot them easily amongst the crowd. So I wake up to find my 3 year old had dressed herself and gotten ready for preschool. Acknowledging her great job I comment on her cute dress, shoes (awkwardly on the wrong feet), and her two very bright headbands, oh and of course her necklace. She informed me she was making her own breakfast of fruit snacks and blue juice (blue gatorade) but if I wanted to get her some cereal or something that would be ok too. Being supportive she did go to preschool today just as she is in the picture. She so proudly marched up to the door with a final "thank you your majesty" and a curtsey. Such precious moments in time! </span>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-12625637355768185622008-07-30T13:19:00.000-07:002008-07-30T13:20:57.989-07:00For you Stacy!<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;">Ok Stacy here you go...the family picture :-)</span>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-62483931614604302602008-07-29T13:38:00.000-07:002008-07-29T13:59:18.203-07:00All alone!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_7b6tRtPIUKTsUmR0asjpDjRzrDF-7bN9kb4nYbDsvBjzWcu9DsIsjLy-JpQoZq2kPfCQUebB-z3JFb8vgDb36uPPV1u_CCBZq-W5s6bFGP8zKuGJuCMF_lZOd3dfYs5CnY3Xi3Niyo8/s1600-h/IMG_0573.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_7b6tRtPIUKTsUmR0asjpDjRzrDF-7bN9kb4nYbDsvBjzWcu9DsIsjLy-JpQoZq2kPfCQUebB-z3JFb8vgDb36uPPV1u_CCBZq-W5s6bFGP8zKuGJuCMF_lZOd3dfYs5CnY3Xi3Niyo8/s320/IMG_0573.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5228543247988567170" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd_qeBADXMCnwO6CWaYkMOmGYZCNbDz4mHR1mjii-eaMlIzoA_Ars1pKiFOWFNRWXVbkwnt9AzSArhRa_3UYYGQ5ynGK5rd10qd3SQsVHSgaU9oZ2b99tQMYegEKfvwHym-arMAUtQeY4/s1600-h/IMG_0575.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd_qeBADXMCnwO6CWaYkMOmGYZCNbDz4mHR1mjii-eaMlIzoA_Ars1pKiFOWFNRWXVbkwnt9AzSArhRa_3UYYGQ5ynGK5rd10qd3SQsVHSgaU9oZ2b99tQMYegEKfvwHym-arMAUtQeY4/s320/IMG_0575.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5228542470296969602" /></a><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms';">I had to add this to the postings. Brylin has never been without someone to play with at home, so I knew she was going to be so bored when both of her sisters were at school all day. So what did she do her first day her sisters were at school. Well for the first hour about every ten minutes she asked if we were going to get Kallie yet. We read books and colored pictures but nothing would distract her. Finally I said go play with Chaco (the dog) and she walked off in a whimper "ok Mama." After a few minutes I could hear a strange sound so as I went to explore I found her on the stairs (she fits perfectly)talking to herself. Then I asked her what do you want to do? She wanted to watch a video, so up the stairs we went and once again she asks, "is it time to get the girls yet?" When I replied not yet honey it's not even lunch yet (it was only 10:15ish) she started to cry and climbed on Brin's bed for her video. Around 11:30 I called to her to come down stairs so we could go run some errands but there was no response. I found her fast asleep with a little wet spot by her eyes....the poor thing had cried herself to sleep. Today she was much happier with her own class to go to. That and the fact she learned she gets to play with her sisters things without anyone taking them away.</span>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-5778692225346296252008-07-29T13:29:00.001-07:002008-07-29T13:37:28.646-07:00Kallie's first day of 2nd Grade<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWl5-xefXQhrPaFCw9RhJf3KoxSfbIJt9BI7HZKZqpThTxI_EZQBKqRKyVQ9bN6OrNc8_tSMByHXqFbhse21PrtS7WcZ8D5gL3FRPcHeXhD4ig92VqFFvC2ou2giT5l5n-TXj6nVd2qYk/s1600-h/IMG_0565.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWl5-xefXQhrPaFCw9RhJf3KoxSfbIJt9BI7HZKZqpThTxI_EZQBKqRKyVQ9bN6OrNc8_tSMByHXqFbhse21PrtS7WcZ8D5gL3FRPcHeXhD4ig92VqFFvC2ou2giT5l5n-TXj6nVd2qYk/s320/IMG_0565.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5228537883956013698" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKUqOkYHWG3tt_nvH0PNbKU8pK7S05UvVOwhSABp4qld3QMZBapgXNZKyP97I03fFKjuhddgj9Z8HSt_Mckt_obbza6H735EhpTJqzggPbgMf-nOwG-E-CN6TGXcFC1DUKc5D5Z-1v1a4/s1600-h/IMG_0566.JPG"><br /></a>What can I say, Kallie was so excited about school. She was up and ready to go before 6. She kept telling everyone to hurry and that we needed to get to school and get going. She couldn't wait to see all the new people in her class. When she got home she was excited to have a lot of the boys from church in her class. She was thrilled to have already gotten a caught in the act award (caught in the act of do a random act of kindness) when she helped a boy pick up his spilled school supplies. Today she gets her name read on the announcements and is put into a monthly drawing. Just where she would loves to be...in the spotlight. She stressed and stewed about this day all summer and finally the day came and she did so good. She looked so cute in her very favorite new BLUE outfit and her cute glasses. She didn't cry once going into her class. I admit I kept poking around the corner just to check on her and make sure she was not freaking out. She didn't leave her teachers side but she didn't cry....that was until I picked her up. I called her name when I saw her and when she looked at me she just BURST into tears! She sobbed half way home that was until I finally got her to tell me about her day and the pudding in the lunch did it. Then she was excited about being able to be at school ALL DAY and having a surprise in her lunch that she got to eat in the REAL cafeteria! I don't think she knew what she was getting into. </span>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5546743172989425425.post-75417442888533657832008-07-29T13:14:00.000-07:002008-07-29T13:21:37.376-07:00<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVQXO2_mYq8Ql0-1zevj7giy0X1PbplljjO8mA_cdAPOEz-UpP8F9kpNn0GrYQhJyIY9Id77biSH1ca1xrtQIbhjvDIFCwODNU-VHdiEsKr6TcU9AaIun-L0Pevz-mde5D4c2gUABf9m0/s1600-h/IMG_0578.JPG"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVQXO2_mYq8Ql0-1zevj7giy0X1PbplljjO8mA_cdAPOEz-UpP8F9kpNn0GrYQhJyIY9Id77biSH1ca1xrtQIbhjvDIFCwODNU-VHdiEsKr6TcU9AaIun-L0Pevz-mde5D4c2gUABf9m0/s320/IMG_0578.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5228533589192767602" /></a><br />Here she is! Her first day of "real school," which is what she calls it. I call it structured play. She had a blast. She painted, ate pink marshmallow's and read some silly book about green eggs and ham. What is even sillier is that she has heard that book a million times. I guess Casey reads it differently than I do. Anyone that knows Brylin knows she has always talked, and talked REALLY well so it was funny to ask her questions about her day. I had to cut her off to get another question answered she just kept going and going. What does Kallie pick? Salad (her first request), LOBSTER, and mashed potatoes and gravy. That isn't even that bad but my sweet husband feels the need to give us the FULL experience and bring home a LIVE one!! Nasty, but the funny thing about all of this was Kallie was THRILLED (as you can see on her face). Then she asks if she can keep the head on her dresser because she thinks it's cute! Definitely her fathers daughter! </span>The Colman'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13617801423903478086noreply@blogger.com1
